A cybersecurity company hired by the corporations. It wants the file to return it intact to its owner — and prove it is the most capable in the industry.

Four factions are inside the same network, after the same file. Each wants something different from it. None of them knew about the others.
Lose one node, and a chain reaction follows.
A file in cold storage holds one corporation's edge over all the others. It's mirrored across Vaults hidden in a network nobody has mapped — and four factions are already inside, each wanting something different from it.
In COLD VAULT, you get in through a foothold on the perimeter and build your network hop by hop. Every unit is sent as a packet: you choose the heading and the TTL, and sending is a skill that can fail. Each unit stays tied to the node that sent it, so your network is a tree. Lose one node, and a chain reaction follows: everything that could only be reached through it goes offline.
Find the Vaults under the fog, read them quietly, and exfiltrate the data before anyone else — or take down the network of whoever gets there first.
- 01Everything travels over the networkTo install a unit, you send a packet: pick a heading and a TTL from a node you already own. Sending is a skill, and it can fail.
- 02A network with a rootEvery unit stays linked to the node that sent it by an open session. Your network is a tree rooted at your Implant.
- 03Chain reactionLose a node and everything that could only be reached through it goes offline: the whole subnet.
- 04Four factions, four agendasMeridian, DATA-K, Bureau 9 and Unsigned want the same file, but each has a different fate in mind for it.
Four factions. One file. None knew about the others.
The same rules for all. Each with its own shape and voice.
A data cartel operating in the shadows of the corporations. It wants the file to sell it to the highest bidder.
The military force of what is left of a state. It wants the file under the state's control, and no one else's.
A leaderless collective. It wants the file to publish it, open and accessible to everyone.
